Your projector lamp likely needs to be replaced if your projector image seems dimmer than usual. If you have a newer model of projector, it may have a feature that allows you to check how many hours your projector lamp has left in it. If you have this feature, definitely use it before you decide to replace your projector lamp.

To ensure that your projector lamp lasts as long as possible, keep it from becoming overheated. Excessive heat can cause lamp failure. Make sure your projector gets an adequate cool down period. Also, your projector lamp will last longer if you keep your projector in a clean and dust-free environment, and be sure to clean your air filters regularly. Consider using the “economy mode” if your projector model has it.
